During 2021-22, over 90 Senior Mental Health Leads in Somerset have been trained through our DfE approved 4-day course. Feedback for the course has been outstanding - “Can I just say again how wonderful the SMHL training was. I found it a fantastic experience and have come away with motivation to make the change in my school.”
And Somerset continues to be the only Local Authority in the South West to be offering a face-to-face DfE-approved course.
The Somerset Mental Health Partnership are pleased to be able to offer fully funded training courses for Senior Mental Health Leads again for 2022-23. In Somerset, the Senior Mental Health Leads training is developed and delivered by a collaborative group of local professionals and organisations central to Somerset’s mental health and education landscape. This includes Somerset Educational Psychology Service, Public Health, Young Somerset, Somerset CAMHS, Somerset NHS Clinical Commissioning Group and Education representatives from Somerset settings.
