Updated training for practitioners on helping separated parents reduce conflict
This workshop is for any practitioner in Somerset who works with separated parents struggling with ongoing coparenting conflict.
This training is delivered by Ruth James, Reducing Parental Conflict Coordinator, and will focus on new resources Ruth has developed over the last few months through developing and piloting a new, evidence informed “Reducing the impact of conflict in everyone” (R.I.S.E.) course for separated parents.
Ruth’s new course for separated parents embeds Positive Childhood Experiences which are proven to help mitigate the impact of separation/divorce on children.
Objectives
The workshop will cover:
- A new tool to help you manage your conversations with separated parents to help you avoid being drawn into the conflict vortex whilst focusing on the well-being of their children.
- How to help parents have a better understanding of the impact of conflict on their children and how this can be mitigated by Positive Childhood Experiences.
- A range of new, practical tools to help separated parents reduce conflict.
- Tools for supporting children through separation/divorce to share with separated parents.
- Understand where to signpost separated parents for support.
