Reducing Parental Conflict
Training for CAMHS Practitioners
Training for CAMHs teams in recognising and addressing parental conflict as a significant
source of children’s mental health difficulties CAMHs clinicians experience the impact of parents’ relationship difficulties in many of the families they see – and who are on their waiting lists.
In this training we offer the research evidence and how services can think about using this perspective when assessing and planning treatment.
It will also focus on the CAMHs clinician as a consultant to frontline practitioners whilst reviewing the most effective interventions available for treatment planning, with clinical tools for use.
Using Mentalization-Based Therapy techniques for interventions this day is a blend of knowledge acquisition and skills testing.
